Hey everyone! I am heading to Bali end of May for 3 weeks and was originally going to stay on Lembongan for 2 nights and Penida for 2/3 nights but someone said it makes more sense to just choose one and do day trips SO I was hoping someone would have advice on whether that’s correct and whether or not it’s best to base myself on Nusa Penida or Nusa Lembongan.

Nusa Penida is the most beautiful place in Bali and it is the number one on my top 10 list. Just a 15 minute boat ride from Nusa Lembongan, I highly recommen Bali vs Gili islands. My family with 2 kids (9, 6 yrs) are in Bali for 10 days in end May and are staying 3 nights each in Ubud and Seminyak. I was initially planning to stay 3 nights in Gili meno but am having second thoughts now given the travel time.

Definitely i recommend Nusa Lambongan Island for some reasons for,nice cliff jumping,surfing,snorkeling,scuba driving,mangrove forest,swimming,eating,massage & spa,beaches and local culture,you can hire motor bikes and visit Nusa Penida island through yellow bridge.You can try at Mushroom Beach Bungalows,Tarci Bungalow,Dream Beach huts,Sedeg Lembongan etc.all are facing to sea,you

Nusa penida 100% If you don’t wanna go solo you can always book a day trip that does exactly this and meet some new people. I dislike these trips as they’re pretty busy and it’s nice to ride a scooter early morning to go to the viewpoints while their not as busy. Each to their own though

But also these three small islands off Bali, in front of Candi Dasa, the Gili Padang Bay : Gili Biaha, Gili Tepekong and Gili Mimpang. And these islands are some of the nicest dive sites in Bali ! For Warnakali diving center, going there is always a special day as we leave the waters of Nusa Penida.

Nusa Islands on the other hand, are not as small and still have scooters etc zooming around. There are still great places to eat (Lembongan in particular) - but I find there is SO much more to see and do - Nusa Penida is an explorers paradise. You have amazing diving sites - and also amazing viewpoints from the cliff edges around the island. lk2n.
